Strategy:
Returning for our third consecutive Kingdom campaign, we built on the campaign successes of the last two years’ learnings to push the franchise even further in celebration of its 10-year anniversary. We asked ourselves: How do you reignite a decade-old franchise & rally new monarchs in just 72 hours?
Kingdom Two Crowns is celebrated for its calm atmosphere, pixel-perfect art & co-op chaos, so we focused on creators who could translate those strengths into content that sparks curiosity instantly.
We assembled a global roster blending franchise aficionados, hooking viewers with their genuine advocacy & first-time monarchs, capturing that unfiltered “wait, this game slaps?!” energy in a bottle for the world to see. This mix let us tap nostalgia, discovery & scale in one hit.
To maximise reach across regions, we activated creators across China, Europe, North & South America, tailoring content styles to each platform’s strengths: hype-heavy TikTok specialists for paid boosting, atmospheric storytellers for BiliBili & evergreen Let’s Players on YouTube.
We layered this with a robust organic outreach push, reconnecting with lapsed players, affinity creators & past Kingdom enthusiasts, building massive extra awareness that supercharged paid results during the short window.
Across platforms:
- TikTok was our primary focus for generating global awareness quickly. We handpicked creators whose specialities lie in generating hype through optimised scripts & creating content designed for paid boosting. Our strongest-performing content in Spanish, Portuguese & English was boosted with Spark Ads, delivering a stunning £0.83 CPM & a £0.19 CPC.
- On BiliBili, we partnered with creators who understood the franchise’s legacy, driving authentic recommendations during the free play & sale window, achieving 1M views & outstanding sentiment.
- Long-form Let’s Plays, Challenges & “first-time” journeys on YouTube anchored the campaign with entertainment-led videos that continue to drive discovery well beyond launch. While TikTok & BiliBili handled scale, our YouTube creators created a space for deeper discovery & player retention.
We elevated the campaign with a robust organic outreach to lapsed players of Kingdom titles, as well as players of affinity titles. This resulted in organic outreaches to over 800 content creators, delivering a strong 12% conversion rate & hundreds of thousands extra views.
